Motion Design

What?

I created a typography animation bringing a powerful feminist quote to life using modern graphic design trends. The video draws inspiration from the 1960s and 1970’s feminist movements that were taking place when the speech was delivered.

Why?

I wanted this animation to combine my knowledge of typographical layouts with my interest in motion design and feminism. I asked myself questions such as:

  • Does the quote lend itself to any specific cultural or design trends?

  • Is it from a specific era in time?

  • What themes or visuals would resonate with this audience?

I drew specific inspiration from the time period the speech took place in, while ensuring the animation style and overall flow of the video was up date with modern design trends.
